God has called me to minister on the streets of Brunswick. It started with delivering 10-50 meals downtown each week, depending on the resources available to me. The Lord would introduce me to people suffering from addictions, sex trafficking, domestic violence, homelessness, etc. He truly seeks to heal the brokenhearted and set the captives free and I’ve been partnering with Him to do just that.
Over the past 4 years, I have had the privilege of introducing those I meet to God and seeing them encounter and experience God for themselves. The Lord is going after their hearts and proving to them that He truly is their Refuge. I’ve seen people get off the street and take back their lives. I’ve helped countless people with food needs, clothing needs, job direction, obtaining personal identification, housing needs, rehabilitation and transport to rehab. I have helped people in crisis escape dangerous situations. I have prayed with them and cried with them. I’ve even had the privilege of baptizing a few of them. God is bringing healing and freedom!
Until recently, all ministry was happening out of my car. A few months ago, His Ministries took notice of what I was doing and offered me a place to minister from. I am honored and thankful for Refuge Outreach to now be a branch of His Ministries. This partnership has created a safe place for us to gather weekly for bible study, prayer and “recreational therapy .” To God be the glory!
